What happens if more students apply to take part than the number of places available?

To ensure that as many students as possible have the opportunity to take part in a study trip during their studies, we issue criteria and a list of priority groups for each trip, according to which we will fairly allocate the available places in the (very likely) event that the number of applications exceeds the total number of places.

Applications are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis, so in the event that there are more students in a particular priority group than places remaining, these remaining places will be distributed by random selection.
